These are my 3 E's of photoshoot styling; the philosophy that guides my approach.
I like to create immersive environments in-studio, arranging props to tell a story and transport the viewer to a different time and place.
At the same time, I aim to bring about a feeling of familiarity and nostalgia- striking a balance between novel and the relatable.
Finally, I work to achieve all of this within narrow budgetary constraints. From DIY-ing props to reusing/modifying pieces in our library, resourcefulness is the key to actualizing my wild ideas.
All images in this section were styled by me and photographed by Carson Shipley.
With thousands of SKU's and new/notable products coming in every day, we needed a streamlined process for product shots. As any photographer knows, clear glass and flash photography are a challenging pairing. However, with laws preventing open packaging in our stores and requiring us to buy out any product we use for marketing purposes, I had to adapt.
After a lot of trial and error, I got to the point where I could crank out these shots at the pace necessary to keep up with our rapidly changing offerings.
These shots were primarily used on social media and to build out our media library for promotional communications.
